Enshrined

micquelle-corry

My craft is the creation of shrines using cigar boxes of all shapes and sizes. The shrines can have a theme: Catholic Kitsch, Elvis, Day of the Dead, romance, or be an eclectic collection of icons. Each shrine is one-of-a-kind and can include any number of elements: mirrors, statuettes, decoupage, photographs, paint, stamps, words, lace, ribbon, flowers, hanging icons, even mini-disco balls. The shrines can be made to be used as jewelry boxes, candle holders or just to serve as objet d'art. My work is extremely detailed and time-intensive. Each piece is completely original, with a unique expression of feeling and beauty. My pieces are multi-media, incorporating several craft forms including photography, ceramics, decoupage, collage, beading, etc.
